Who can join Troop 4?
*Any boy who has completed fifth grade, OR
*Any boy who is at least 11 years and under 18 years old, OR
*Any boy who has earned the Arrow of Light in Webelos

How do I join Troop 4?
The best way to find out if Troop 4 is right for you is by attending one of our weekly meetings, or our open house. We meet every Monday (except on holidays), 7:30 pm–9:00 pm, at Beach School (100 Lake Ave., Piedmont). We host an open house around January. Please check our calendar for the next open house. uniform
The full Troop 4 uniform consists of:
*A short-sleeve Boy Scout shirt
*Piedmont Council patch
*Unit numeral (4) patch
*Troop 4 neckerchief
*Boy Scout shoulder loops
*Neckerchief slide
Boy Scout shirts, loops and neckerchief slides can be purchased at McCullough's in Montclair, Oakland, at the East Bay Scout Shop in San Leandro, and at www.scoutstuff.org. Patches are available at the Piedmont Council office. The neckerchief is provided by the troop.

handbook
Each scout should have his own copy of The Boy Scout Handbook. Handbboks are available at the Piedmont Council office or at www.scoutstuff.org.

forms
The Boy Scout application form, annual consent form (permission slip), and medical exam forms are available to download at www.scouting.org/forms.

annual fee
Troop 4's annual fee is only $25. The cost of our activities is funded by the money raised by the scouts selling hot dogs at the 4th of July parade.

camping gear
Camping equipment, like tents and cooking utensils are provided by the troop. For information about camping gear for personal use, please see the checklists for Hiking Trips and for Snow Camping.
