About Troop 4

history
Troop 4 was founded in 1921 by the West Piedmont
Improvement Fund. Over the years, several scouts from the
troop have attained the rank of Eagle Scout including J. Draper, TJ Tomas, D. Cohn-Postar, S. Cardoza and B. Kelley. See Piedmont Council's Eagle Scouts List for other Eagle Scouts from the troop.

meetings
Troop 4 meets every Monday (except on holidays) at Beach School, located at 100 Lake Avenue in Piedmont. Meetings start at 7:30 pm and end at 9:00 pm.

camping trips
We go on weekend camping trips once a month, a one-week camping trip at Camp Oljato every summer, and a high adventure trip in August. Please see our calendar to find out about upcoming trips. For information about what to bring to camping trips, please see the gear checklists for Hiking Trips and Snow Camping.

community service
Community service is an important part of scouting. Every year, Troop 4 scouts participate in Scouting for Food. Our scouts also perform service projects at Angel Island and Point Reyes. In addition to the troop service projects, the scouts also take part in various volunteer activities in the community. For service project dates, please see the troop calendar.
